Defiance

I will NOT bow down!
I know this path is hard and lonely, or that my friends and family may disown me, and STILL I will press on for I am defiant. I am a warrior. I am Prometheus, returning fire to the people from Olympus. I am no king. I am no harbinger. I am the consequence of circumstance. The product of proclamation.
I walk alone through the valley of the shadow of death. Faith is my constant companion because fear is a luxury I cannot afford.
And so I rise.
Like the words of Maya Angelou for I know I will never walk in ANYONE’S shadow. Fail or fall, I claim it all and declare no one else to blame because I’ve so very far to go….but so much more to gain.
Farewell. I go now to take my place above this place I’ve been for far too long. I will not wait for heaven to come to me…I WILL have my paradise in my lifetime.
