Menagerie

Like a grave robber they came. They crept into my sacred spaces. Was their purpose in my life meant to take me to dark places?

Tell me, love, where is they sting? Have I missed you in their faces? All the people meant to bring me countless joy throughout the ages?

Still, it rages. Like the sun, it burns its light onto my pages. A perfect life was never taken but each lesson was amazing.

Each a blessing for the taking. Each possession left me waiting. This menagerie of lovers lost has caused me much debating.
